Jaye P. Morgan made one of the best yacht rock albums ever in 1976. The self-titled LP featured an extraordinary line up of the best LA musicians around at the time, including David Foster, Harvey Mason, Ed Greene, Jay Graydon, Ray Parker Jr., Tower of Power, Ernie Watts and Jeff Porcaro. Two decades earlier Jaye P. Morgan was already established as a singer. For instance, The Longest Walk and That's All I Want From You were both very successful on the American charts. During the 1960s she led a rather obscure and private life, performing infrequently in nightclubs. She resurfaced in the 1970s when she gained popularity through her TV appearances. She was a guest on the Muppet Show in 1978 and for two years she was a regular panelist on The Gong Show, on which she achieved notoriety for exposing her breasts on live daytime television. Later on in her career she had small parts in films including Loose Shoes, Night Patrol and Home Alone 2: Lost in New York. Morgan appeared as herself in Confessions of a Dangerous Mind, a 2003 semi-biographical film about the life of Chuck Barris, creator of The Gong Show.
One of the tracks is Back In My Arms Again by Dutch band Spargo. Sadly singer Lilian Day Jackson passed away two days ago.
