1976 The Year When Disco Became Big

When sixties band the Bee Gees reappeared as a phoenix from the ashes with a string of disco hits in 1976, it became obvious that a new market had opened. A year later their music for the movie Saturday Night Fever made disco the most dominant music style for a short period of time, but it stayed influential until this day. Disco made dance music an enduring force in the music industry.
