Cool Out: A Funky Chillout Summer Session

It’s still April, but the last couple of days it feels like summertime in the Netherlands already 😊 Enjoy this funky chillout summer session!

I told it before, Groovejet by Spiller was co-composed by Rob Davis, guitarist of successful seventies glam rock band Mud. He was the one who wrote the melody. A new slowed down, chillout mix of Groovejet by Breakbot & Irfane came out recently. The song was an instrumental track in the very beginning, then Sophie Ellis-Baxtor was asked to do vocals on it:

“I agreed to sing on the track and went into the studio with my own ideas and wrote the verses quickly. Eventually, they spliced my verses with a brilliant chorus by Rob Davis. Mine was rubbish in comparison! The track’s magic is in his chorus and Spiller’s instrumental. I was so happy to be the voice on it.”
