Mellow Mellow FM Retro: Springtime In Venice Beach

Tyler Nix
Think of L.A.’s Venice Beach about 40 years ago, when boys and girls in shorts were roller-skating with the latest hits on their Sony headphones. If you search for the YouTube video of Tarney Spencer’s No Time To Lose or watch the movie Roller Dreams, then you’ll know exactly what I mean. Venice Beach back in the day became the inspiration for this new episode of Mellow Mellow FM. Enjoy the late seventies, early eighties sound of West Coast radio!

“Unflinchingly, one can compare Cado Belle to the best of Rose Royce.”

(Allmusic about Cado Belle’s only album with lead vocals from Maggie Reilly, known for her later work with Mike Oldfield)
